This cuff was made by Richard Begay, who was a Navajo silversmith born and raised in Arizona. He borrowed silversmithing tools from his father-in-law and learned the craft. His work is displayed at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC and the Heard Museum in Phoenix AZ. His favorite materials were turquoise and red coral, however he used a variety of stones and shells. Richard passed away in 2013. His maker’s mark is “RB”
